Elastics (Rubber Bands)

Elastics, also known as rubber bands, are used to fine-tune the position of your teeth or how your bite sits. They help correct bite issues such as overbites, underbites, and crossbites. For best results, elastics must be worn exactly as prescribed by Dr. Cohen, and consistent wear is key to keeping your treatment on track and preventing delays.

Palate Expander

A palate expander is used to gently widen the upper jaw by applying steady pressure to the upper molars. This creates more space for permanent teeth and helps correct crossbites and crowding. Once the desired expansion is achieved, the appliance remains in place for several months to stabilize the results and prevent the jaw from shifting back.

Retainers

Retainers keep your teeth in their new positions after braces or clear aligner treatment. They may be removable or fixed, depending on your needs. Dr. Cohen and our team will guide you on how long and how often to wear your retainer to maintain your beautiful results and prevent relapse.
